Our Volunteers, Instructors and Officers

Parent Volunteers

Our unit encourages parents to volunteer in any way they can.  We always need assistance providing transportation to offsite drill locations, assisting in meals on drill weekends, sewing uniforms and fundraising activities.

Volunteering allows you the opportunity to spend time with all the cadets.

We’re starting a new volunteer program and we’d love your support.  Lexington Division (Sea Cadets) and Training Ship Colorado (League Cadets) need parents who would enjoy the chance to get involved with your cadet and our unit.

Beginning November 2017, we are asking parents to volunteer for one duty per year. If you’d like to volunteer to help out with feeding out cadets is a great way to start.

Please visit our CHOW PAGE for more information.

Our ranks are growing and so are the cadets. Sewing uniforms is a non-stop job for us.  If you are a sewer, we could use you!

We also need help with our gear locker.  If you’re not afraid to climb a ladder and get a little dirty, we could really use your help with organizing our gear locker.

We now have a  Volunteer Sign Upfor volunteering.

Please consider volunteering.

Officers and Instructors

Officers and instructors are adult volunteers who have made the commitment to become members of the U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps and to support our unit with a greater level of involvement.

These volunteers are responsible for the day-to-day operation of the unit and drills.

Many USNSCC officers have previous military experience.

Some are currently serving in active or reserve duty in one of the armed services.

Active or reserve duty is not a requirement. Any parent can complete an application to become an officer or instructor.
